Ashwini - Faith

Three years ago, I ran away from another shelter home and since then, the Mumbai police have been trying to find me. So I've been a fugitive for three years, running all over India, but learning a lot in the process. I've attended workshops for theater, photography, and creative writing....but the most amazing thing about being a fugitive is that strangers all over the country have taken me into their homes and taken such amazing care of me. Now, I’m about to start university -- and I should probably be scared. But guess what? I'm not scared at all because my time as a fugitive taught me that no matter how difficult the situation, there are always wonderful people around to help. To me, success is having faith that everything will work out how it's supposed to so I don't have to live in fear.
